Good People
- Matthew Henry Hall
- Cartoonist, novelist, children's book author, and singer/songwriter. His cartoons are featured here, but his children's book "Phoebe and Chub" should be a best seller! And he is my favorite Flagstaff songwriter!
- Michael Flanigan
- Mike is the guy who tried to teach me to tune my guitar way back when we were kids. He failed miserably. But we remain great friends. He is a very talented actor and singer, and Mike is a computer wiz. He took care of much of the graphic design for CAMPFIRE and is branching out into the world of web design.
- Sue Fink
- Sue has a new CD called "Damsel in Distress. Her website is under construction. In the meantime check out her CD at CD Baby.
- Jim Pipkin
- Jim Pipkin writes the best "Western" songs of anybody I know. Just a little more justice in this world and Jim would be a star. Highly recommended...
Artists (good people too)
- Emma Gardner
- We have to admit that we like Emma because she serves us awesome food at Martan's here in Flagstaff. But she is also the artist responsible for decorating the place, and we think the world of her art - especially the Day of the Dead paintings and other skeleton art! Emma is painting the CD cover for my "Campfire" CD.
- Louis Buchetto
- Louis keeps a studio in downtown Flagstaff you don't want to miss. His work is full of joy and energy. Of special interest are his collaborations with his daughter Tirza. And Louis will be doing the CD cover for my next children's record!
- Anne Leuck Feldhaus
- Anne's work used to hang in the halls at 909 W. Armitage when I was still teaching Wiggleworms. So I hired her to do the CD cover for "A Family Songbook". I think she's great!
Organizations
- Grand Canyon Guitar Society
- My guitar teacher Craig Yarbrough founded our regional guitar society. Among other things GCGS sponsors an absolutely wonderful concert series.
- Flagstaff Folk Project
- The coffeehouse at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship has been... ahem... reborn as the Flagstaff Folk Project - hosting a coffeehouse the third Friday of every month.
- Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music
- Our local music group. Puts on the annual Flagstaff Folk Festival and sponsors some local concerts.
- Old Town School of Folk Music
- My former employer and the center of Chicago's folk scene - if not the folk music universe! I think they've officially dropped "folk music" from the name, but I can't let go.
